Bob is Associate Professor of Finance at the UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School. He has taught finance, economics, real estate development, and international business to working executives, undergraduates, MBA, Executive MBA, and Ph.D. students for 38 years, 29 of them at UNC Kenan-Flagler.  His research interests cover price discovery and efficiency of capital markets, and return, volatility and liquidity dynamics in real estate markets. His research has been recognized with several awards over the past twenty years.  More recent research in real estate has been supported through a competitive grant from the Real Estate Research Institute.  Bob has also held faculty appointments at the University of North Carolina – Greensboro and at the University of California-Irvine.

Connolly holds a Ph.D., an M.A. and a B.A. in economics from the University of Maryland– College Park.  He has been married for 40 years, and he and his wife Cindy have four daughters (two of whom are married to Army veterans – SF and Aviation branch), and both a granddaughter and a grandson.
